The Hyperallergic Newsletter provides resources for artists and galleries affected by Hurricane Sandy–here is an excerpt:
Help with Art Conservation & Recovery
We connected with a representative of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC), and they confirmed that their AIC-CERT program (CERT stands for Collection Emergency Response Team) has a help number, (202) 661-8068, and email, email@example.com, that can aid any institution, organization, collectors, or artists who were impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
Also, you can help by bidding on and buying art in our auction on Sunday–support the New York, Connecticut and other artists who have had to deal with so much during the past few days of Hurricane Sandy and the aftermath. Bid on and buy their art in our auction on Sunday November the 4th when our live online art auction begins at 11:00 a.m. EST.
You can preview the auction items now.
