Gallery Sitka, which is actually 2 Galleries filled with art of various styles, is located in town of Fitchburg, in Central Massachusetts, USA, has Calls for Artists. Gallery Sitka also manages The Bull Run’s Artist’s Walkway with the Current Show in Fitchburg: Comics!

Artists have asked about our e-list of Art Magazines, Art Blogs and Publication Resources. We know how much artists love to get their work featured on art blogs and in magazines! Many artists wonder how to make that happen.

If you are an artist, you can wait around for some magazine editor or art blog writer to contact you about featuring your work. Or take action! The best way to get your art featured in art magazines or on good art blogs is to actively submit your work.  And that’s why we’ve put together our growing e-list of art magazines and blogs for artists to use to make their submissions–Get it here.  We began compiling this e-list in January of 2013, continually researching and adding new art magazines and blogs, and now the e-list is 50+ pages of clickable links!

LIPHAR is an Online Ebook magazine for authors, artists and photographers. The name of the Magazine is Liphar (pronounced Lifer). They have ongoing Open Submissions for your Articles, Short Stories, Photos, and Art, and are accepting submissions now.

 

ArtBelow Summer Show Now Open For Submissions

Art Below is now accepting submissions for the Art Below Summer Show which marks the beginning of their collaboration with London’s West Bank Gallery in the heart of Notting Hill, London. The show asks artists to produce work based on the theme of the Summer Solstice.  Selected works will go on show at the West Bank Gallery for two weeks opening with a private view solstice party on the 21st of June.

At the same time ArtBelow will transform entire platforms and walkways of the London Underground into public gallery spaces where solstice themed work will be featured as  billboard posters at nearby major underground stations (Westbourne Park and Ladbroke Grove).   Sign up here for information on how to take part.

 

Artists: Submit to the Uncommon Goods Art Contest

Uncommon Goods loved hosting their past Art Contests so much that they decided to keep them going all year round! Every month is a new chance to submit your latest masterpiece and get it in front of their buyers. Winners will see their work printed, framed and sold on UncommonGoods.com.

DEADLINE: This is an ongoing competition. Every month new semifinalists will be chosen from the previous month’s submissions.

GRAND PRIZE: $500 + 5% royalties on a limited edition of 100 prints.

RUNNERS UP:
All runners-up will receive a critique of their work from the guest judges, and UncommonGoods’ marketing team will provide tips for marketing and growing their businesses. Additionally, UncommonGoods’ buyers will review each entrant’s full portfolio and may consider adding the work submitted to the UncommonGoods website in the future.

WHAT CAN I SUBMIT?
2D digital captures of your original watercolors, acrylics, pastels, colored pencils, collages, digital art, etc. We can’t accept photography, 3D work, textures, letterpress or other work that relies on hand printing.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE AN UNCOMMON ARTIST?
Your design and your personal story should be anything but ordinary. Your design should be expressive, unique and tell a story. Be sure to share your design process and background on the submission form.
