ArtSnacks

Yesterday, I posted about the art site eatsleepdraw. While viewing art on eatsleepdraw, I noted repeated references to ArtSnacks, an art supply subscription service. Artists love art materials but perhaps hate the hours spent in art supply stores or online suppliers sites searching for just the right tool.  ArtSnacks feeds that love of the hunt but helps you cut down on time waste with monthly sampling of artist materials

. How clever! ArtSnacks subscription service delivers art supplies to your studio door!

Normally, I receive offers of blog posts in exchange for art products, but this time I bypassed that and went ahead and subscribed to ArtSnacks.

Success! Thanks so much for subscribing to ArtSnacks!

Here are some questions you might have:

I just signed up for a ArtSnacks subscription – what will I receive?

Each month you’ll receive a box full of 4-5 art products to enjoy. Each box will include a different mix of goodies like pens, pencils, markers, inks, brushes, paints, and more.

When will I get my first ArtSnacks box?

If you signed up before the cutoff date (the 20th of each month) you’ll receive your ArtSnacks this month! We ship ArtSnacks on the 1st of each month and you can see details on shipping below. If you signed up after the 20th, you’ll receive your first box next month – and we promise it will be worth the wait 🙂

When will my ArtSnacks ship?

ArtSnacks are sent every month, like clockwork. We’ll start sending out boxes on the 25th(ish) of each month.

Will you tell me what is coming in my box ahead of time? Can I choose?

No, we won’t tell you, we like surprises. But we definitely want to know if you have ideas for future boxes. Send us an email with a link to a cool art product and well consider it for the future.

Whats your cancellation policy?

You can cancel your subscription via the account page at any time. To cancel your subscription, just login to your account, click on Manage Membership and hit Delete Account. You will still receive the ArtSnacks you have already paid for but your subscription will not be renewed the next time it expires.

For any other questions, or to get in contact with us, please feel free to email us directly at ArtSnacksCo@gmail.com

Launching Tweet Swap for Creative Sharing

It's Me Again

It’s Me Again (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

I have  taken part in Tweet Swap over the past year and I always found  only high quality tweets on creative arts, art and design, photography and such listed for sharing.

The way it works is that you add your tweet to the share list, then select 2-3 from the list to tweet to your followers. Others on the list will tweet your tweet.

This is Zoltan’s project and he just sent out this notification–

Hey guys, just a quick note to let you know that we now have a simple Register Interest page up for a dedicated, proper version of Tweet Swap.

The benefits of being a member are as follows:
1. Grow your Twitter followers (your Twitter handle is included on all of your Tweets sent out by other members)
2. Increase your web traffic (when you Tweet about a post on your website, that Tweet will be re-sent out by other members to their followers)
3. Introduce your Twitter followers to relevant, interesting content from other TweetSwap members
Check it all out here and sign up to find out more if you’re interested. Oh, and please help us spread the word!
Thanks to all of you who have helped us test it over the past year or so.
Thanks,
Zolton

Southern California Gallery Accepting Email Submissions from Artists

Free twitter badge

Artist email submissions are becoming standard. Usually the gallerist who say they don’t like email submissions are the ones who receive hundred or even thousands of unsolicited artist submissions each week. But, I expect to see more of the smaller galleries putting out calls for artist to submit with submission guidelines requesting email submissions only. I have noted that more galleries post a *Submissions* heading their gallery website, that  list their submission guidelines and email address.

Also, lots of calls to submit links show up on Twitter. I just re-tweeted this call–follow me on Twitter @TransArtGuide

So I thought I’d share it here too:

This gallery is accepting email submissions. All the details here:

http://www.thehappeninggallery.com/Contact.html

There are two galleries in San Francisco with open calls to submit. One is online and brick and mortar and the other a physical gallery only. Both are listed in my share list of several hundred galleries (I don’t recall the names of these galleries at the moment). But If you’d like to get into more gallery submissions, here is a link to my Gallery Share List: http://bit.ly/GalleryList
