We usual feature art sales sites for painting, photography and prints. This time we are entering into the medium of textile art, featuring a site that hosts a group of professional quilt artists from Britain, Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands and the USA. Looking at the images of the work on the site, their quilts can sometimes be mistaken for collage art, paintings, calligraphic and Asemic art.
QUILT ART was founded in 1985 with the aim to extend the boundaries of quilting as an artistic medium and to achieve wider recognition of the quilt as an art form. The QUILT ART artist holds regular touring exhibitions in Britain and Europe and have also exhibited in Japan and Canada. To accompany each exhibition they publish a high quality exhibition catalog.
