A biennial celebration of art made by women!
A.I.R. Gallery invites artists to participate in their biennial fundraiser exhibition, Generations IX: The Red/Pink Show, from December 5, 2013 – January 4, 2014.  The success of this exhibition depends on the strength and quality of the participating artists and we hope to exhibit a broad diversity of artwork created by women. Please interpret the red/pink theme in any way you want!

NYC Artists: Want An Art VIP To Make Studio Visit? + Other Ops

Based on A.I.R.’s “One on One” sessions from the 1980s, the Studio Visit Lottery provides an opportunity for NYC based artists to have a 45 minute, one-on-one studio visit with a curator, critic, or gallery director. Selected artists are required to attend a session with the A.I.R. Gallery Director on “Making the Most of a Studio Visit” before their studio visit occurs.

Mary Birmingham is the Curator at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, where she directs an ambitious program of contemporary art exhibitions.

Paddy Johnson is a writer, critic, and pop-culture connoisseur out of Brooklyn, NY. She publishes and edits

Wendy Osloff is Co-Owner of P.P.O.W Gallery, located in Chelsea, NYC.

Artists will be selected via a random lottery by July 20th, and will be notified by email before August 1, 2012.

All proceeds after payments to studio visitors will benefit A.I.R. Gallery and its mission to advance the status of women in the arts. For further information, please contact


Rayko Gallery in San Francisco has been around for a long time. I exhibited my art at Rayko when they were at a different location,and it look like Rayko is still up to good things. I know they exhibit mixed media works that incorporates photography in some way. Selected artists who submit to the Call below will exhibit at Rayko.
