ArtWorld Invites Artists to add their Banner Art to the Changing Online Billboard Space

A few days ago, we announced our take-over and re-opening of ArtWorld.

We’ve had a great response, already adding over a dozen artists and an artist collective to our list of Contributing Editors. Facebook says that there is no limit to the number of people we can add in roles on our page!  So we’d like to add hundreds of artists as Contributing Editors to share their art and art news.

Now we want to open up and enliven the ArtWorld banner/header space for artists to add their art banners there, as well. Our vision is a changing billboard of your art banners at the top of ArtWorld.

As a Contributing Editor, artists simply click on the CHANGE COVER button at the upper left corner of the banner header space to add their own banner–such as to announce a studio sale, online shop sale, exhibition, new work added to online portfolio, and art group or art collective events. The banner will also appear in the main page feed where the artist can then add their link and text description in a comment. Ideally, our artists will be adding new banners frequently!

Artists are also invited to create banners to brand ArtWorld and to inform visitors and label the overall space, such as, a banner with the text of your choice, or a clever aphorism or saying about art. We’d also like to see banners with the text:

ART WORLD

And perhaps some phrases such as:

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL ARTISTS

Art Direct From Artists

Artists are welcome to change the cover art to any banner they create at any time! (Use your own art, your own photos with text, or art and photos by permission. We don’t want copyright infringements.)

ArtWorld is lightly curated. That means if we know you and like what you do you will be accepted. If we meet you and like what you do you will be accepted. Very few may not fit and we may have other specialized platforms for their work.  If you are a visual artist, sound artist, video or photographic artist, or handmade maker of any sort, and you’d like to find out more about becoming an ArtWorld Contributing Editor, *Like* the ArtWorld on Facebook and send a message there. Replies to messages made daily.

YOGURT MAGAZINE CALL FOR ENTRIES: uncanny derivations: desirable body, masculine or feminine, in contemporary photography

yogurtmagphoto3

Larisa Oancea, curator and content contributor at Yogurt Magazine, a creative magazine based in Rome focused on contemporary photography and visual arts sent us their Call for Entries to share our with our readers (and on social media)—

Taking its cue from Jung’s concept of “sublimation”, Yogurt Magazine is an ambitious visual research about the new anthropology of Eros. Our current call for artists reflects, as well, on the concept of desirable body and its uncanny derivations in contemporary photography.
