There are so many art galleries accepting submissions! We’re giving you just a small sampling from our  International Art Gallery Directory of over nine thousand art galleries.  We’ve been working on this e-list for years and it has now reached over 550+ pages. This November and December we’ve reviewed the entire list checking every link and all details to be sure that you have access to the latest information. This is a great resource that we want artists to use. In our International Art Gallery Directory e-list  we’ve color highlighted art galleries accepting submissions and added their submission guidelines for artists to quickly locate more opportunities for their art. Today, we’re sharing this art gallery from our e-list resources — Gray Duck Gallery in Austin, Texas. If you are in artist in the Texas region, or would like to travel there,  you might consider submitting a solo or group exhibition project proposal to Grey Duck Gallery.

Gray Duck Gallery accepts submissions for solo and collaborative group exhibits. Curatorial proposals are also accepted. Works in any media by artists at various stages in their career will be considered.

Please note that they are now accepting submissions only via email in .jpg (JPEG), .pdf, (Acrobat), or pps, (PowerPoint) formats. Include 5-10 digital images along with resume/CV, artist statement and website link. Read the full gallery submission guidelines here.

Paks Gallery for contemporary art, modern art, mixed media art and pop art in Austria between Vienna, Salzburg and Munich (Germany).  PAKS Gallery exhibits international artists working in photography, painting, sculpture, and mixed media art.

PAKS Gallery is currently seeking artworks from modern art artists for Exhibition in FEBRUARY 2015.

Submission deadline: 10 JANUARY 2015

Exhibition dates: FEBRUARY 14 – 28, 2015

Artists can submit their biography and 3 pictures from artworks in JPEG (please no more than 2 Mb per picture).

They are accepting submissions of original artworks (drawings, mixed media, oil and acrylic original artworks, lithographs, screen prints, photography), Giclee Limited Editions on fine art paper or canvas (limited edition size of 150 or smaller) NO Posters accepted.

In my daily research I’m always on the look out for opportunities for artists. In case you missed these found around the web this week:

The art gallery Haunch of Venison London closed not long ago and now the former gallery directors Ben Tufnell and Matt Watkins are launching a new gallery, Parafin, in Woodstock Street, Mayfair, London in September 2014. Founder of London gallery Master Piper, Nicholas Rhodes will join them on this new venture. The new Parafin will represent emerging artists and internationally established artists.

Deadline for proposal submissions for Project Anywhere 2015 program is September 1, 2014. Proposal guidelines can be found here.

Project Anywhere is an expanded exhibition model encompassing the entire globe in which the role of curator is replaced with a peer review system. Emphasizing art outside conventional exhibition circuits, Project Anywhere specifically promotes the work of artists at the outermost limits of location-specificity.

I added the imagfave free app to my iPad just this morning. imgfave seems to be a great site for sharing your art images large and getting others to share them on Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest.  It’s easy to create a new account on imgfave and immediately upload your art, or try some cross-promotion with artist friends–upload one of their art images and have them upload one of yours.

Yesterday, I woke especially early and checked my email to find — Your Submission has been published!

That was a pleasant surprise but not completely unexpected, since I felt that I had submitted the right artwork to the right venue. (Check my blog here to find out who published my art.)

If you haven’t been submitting your art to publications such as blogs and online magazine and journals, the only trick is in selecting and submitting the right work! It’s really that simple. With more submissions made, you will get to know who is likely to accept what you submit.

Gallery Aferro Studio ResidencyThe Studio Residency program is offered in collaboration with Newark’s Aljira, A Center for Contemporary Art. Residents will be awarded studios, each approximately 600 sq ft, for 6 months, with 24 hr access, access to visiting curators and other gallery directors, a solo exhibition in our project space, and inclusion in an end-of-program catalog highlighting their work over the length of the residency. The current Gallery Aferro building can accommodate 6-10 artists at a time. Artists will be selected on the basis of quality of work, commitment to their field, demonstrated need, and the ability to interact positively with the community at large. The program will aim for a mix of Newark and non-Newark residents. Bosch Art Game Pitch Competition
International game designers challenged to create game on Jheronimus Bosch‘Design an original, artistic game to re-enact the work of Jheronimus Bosch (± 1450-1516). In the first round a maximum of five prizes of 2,500 euro are at stake. The winning designs must be developed into playable prototypes within five months. From the prototypes, an international jury will select the art game to be launched during the Jheronimus Bosch year 2016.The national Jheronimus Bosch commemoration will be the culmination of the international cultural event Jheronimus Bosch 500.We mainly know the master painter from the surrealistic, narrative paintings showing people and animals in earthly paradise and, after the Fall, in hell. ArtsinStark county arts council for Canton, Ohio (home to the Pro Football Hall of Fame) is issuing a request for qualifications for artists to create the first “Birth of the NFL” in a series of 11 public artworks celebrating the greatest moments in professional football history – THE ELEVEN. Research and Production 2012

Cda-Projects Grant has offered a 10,000 Euro grant annually since 2011 to support the production of an artistic research project.Projects
The grant aims at supporting and opening up discussions on artistic research to an expanded network through an open call. It encourages speculative approaches to how discourse is staged and how knowledge is produced, rethought and interwoven across disciplines. Without any limitations on the content, the proposed inquiries are expected to suggest new forms and methodologies, by reflecting on contexts and conditions of the knowledge produced.Publication
Cda-Projects Grant will also support a publication after the completion of the project that brings together discussions on the artistic research undertaken, including the questions raised, speculative analysis and the final outcome. The publication will be prepared by Cda-Projects Grant in cooperation with the grant recipient.Eligibility
Authors (includes artists, curators, writers, thinkers etc…) of any nationality, regardless of age, can propose projects to be carried out individually or collectively.Applicants can submit an artistic research project that is currently in the production stage or one that is scheduled to be completed during the six‐month period following the date of selection.

Cda-Projects Grant for Artistic Research and Production 2011 has been awarded to Rasha Salti and Kristine Khouri for their project The International Art Exhibition for Palestine. They will present their ongoing research with the title The Dreamer: Ezzeddine Qalaq on October 5th, 2012, 18:30h at KAT1.
